Distinctive Marble & Granite was founded by Cleveland native Chris Schnetzler, with a degree in international business and Spanish from Ohio State University, Chris started Distinctive Marble & Granite in 2001. He founded his company in Powell, the city where he now lives. “I’ve always had a fascination for stone,” he says.

He used his considerable entrepreneurial skills to develop relationships with quarries, stone wholesalers and people in the granite trades. A hands-on owner, Chris gives customers his cell phone number and works with them directly. “I’m here every day, I’m on site,” he says.

Focused and passionate about his business, Chris is committed to doing whatever it takes -- whether it’s filling in on an installation crew or sweeping the shop floor -- to keep his company moving forward “I delegate but I’ll certainly jump in and do what I have to do,” he says. “I’ll do what it takes and my staff is on board in the same regard.”
